Welcoming
& Inclusive Club
The
Welcoming & Inclusive Clubs program has been
developed to provide clubs with a useful tool to promote
their club to the whole community. It encourages
our club to become more aware of the barriers that
prevent people from joining the club and to take
concrete steps towards improving access for all people.
The
program assists the committee of the club to highlight
good practice and identify areas for improvement in an
endeavour to create a more Welcoming & Inclusive
club.
As
part of the Welcoming & Inclusive Club program Moe
Tennis Club has an Access Appraisal completed last year
by Gippsport which looked at the areas of the clubs
facilities requiring improvement.
Due
to this appraisal Latrobe City have installed wheel
chair access to the clubrooms from the car park which
was previously not available.
The
club is continuing to work with Latrobe City to remove
all tripping hazards and improve other issues we
currently have to make our facilities accessable for
everyone to use in the future.
